GSRW Presents Derek Kinnison on Zoom March 18th

Golden State Republican Women will be presenting January 6th survivor Derek Kinnison on Tuesday, March 18, 2025 from 6:30 to 7:30 PM.  Please click the link at the bottom of this page to register for this Zoom event. 

Derek Kinnison is a husband and father who attended the January 6, 2021 protest in Washington, DC, but did not enter the Capital Building, remained non violent and non destructive throughout the day.  He was later raided by the FBI on February 19, 2021, then indicted on June 10, 2021.

He was charged with 3 felony variations of “obstruction of an official proceeding”, and 2 misdemeanors from trespassing and disorderly conduct. Denied plea deals, he went to trial in October of 2023, was found guilty of all charges, and sentenced on April 19, 2024 to 33 months in prison.  He was taken into custody at his sentencing in Washington, DC, and spent 4 months in transport across the country to get to Lompoc prison.  He served 9 months and 1 day total time and was pardoned by President Donald J. Trump on January 20, 2025.
