Join SPARC this month for an enlightening and informative discussion with Daniel M. Kolkey as he shares his views and insights on misguided policies impacting the Golden State. “What You Don’t Know about California’s Misguided Policies” is the focus of SPARC’s speaker series in-person event at 6:00 pm on February 28.
Daniel M. Kolkey is the Former Counsel to Governor Pete Wilson and Chair of the Pacific Research Institute’s California Reform Committee. An engaging speaker, Mr. Kolkey has a unique perspective and knowledge of California’s policies given his vast professional experience. He has served as an Associate Justice on the California Court of Appeal. During his tenure as a partner in the San Francisco office of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher, Mr. Kolkey was chair of the firm’s California Appellate Law Practice, a member of the firm’s national appellate and constitutional law practice group and a member of its Litigation Department. As Legal Affairs Secretary and counsel to California Governor Pete Wilson, Mr. Kolkey was responsible for all the legal advice within the Governor’s Office.
Mr. Kolkey is currently President of the California Supreme Court Historical Society and the Hugh and Hazel Darling Visiting Professor at UC Berkeley Law School.
